Help Me Reach My Goal!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
"I'm doing a triathlon" are four words that I never thought would come out of my mouth! But there is no turning back now! I have signed up to complete the Hyannis Triathlon because I am lucky enough to be strong and healthy, something that I know can often be taken for granted. If those who are not as lucky can fight against their cancer every day, I can certainly swim 1/4 miles, bike 10 miles and then run 3.5 miles! (Right?!?!?)
I'm training to participate in this endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. When I was a teenager, my Aunt Rita, my mom's twin sister, lost her life to Lymphoma only three weeks after her diagnosis. I am completing this event in honor of her and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
