Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm thrilled to announce that I have taken on the challenge to train for and run the 2012 Walt Disney World marathon! I decided to train with the TNT group because not only will I get a chance to fulfill a longtime dream of running a marathon, but I will be proud to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer!

I'm sure we have all been touched in some way by knowing someone or losing someone to cancer. I lost my grandpa Fernando in 1996 just 4 months after my son Nico was born and am so thankful that he was able to meet his first great-grandchild before losing his battle.

I am currently training with a wonderful man named Kel, a married father of two kids who is not only battling leukemia, but training to run a 1/2 marathon! I am so lucky to have not only met Kel, but to run by his side as we train together, knowing that our fundraising efforts have helped with his treatments and his prognosis!

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
