We had a wonderful Bela's Ball on Dec. 8. We raised about $4000 for LLS and are still fundraising! Last Saturday we ran 10 miles, so we feel a little better about the half marathon. We are still training, though not as much as we should and not as much as we'd like, but we are doing what we can. Thanks to all who have donated! We appreciate all of you so much and we are so excited. We have met many new and wonderful friends in this journey and look forward to where God will take us because of these circumstances He's allowed us to go through these past 5 and a half months. Hey everybody! We did four miles today and I was hurting. Truth be told we havn't been training well lately with everything going on with Bela. But we are determined to go to more weekday practices and be disciplined in running our long runs on saturdays. This coming Saturday we're set to do 8 miles I think, that's over half of our race day mileage. Thanks so much to all who've donated so far! Your generosity gets us that much closer to a cure and helps literally thousands of families effected by Leukemia and Lymphoma! you rock!

Our daughter Bela was born July 5, 2012 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She has been at Miller Children's Hospital at Long Beach Memorial ever since. She finished her first round of chemo in August and her second round on October 9, at 3am! She is doing well but not expected to come home for the first time until April or May 2013. We are also running in honor of our friend Diane who was just diagnosed with a third relapse of Leukemia. Leukemia is the number one fatal disease affecting children.

We have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, we're participating in a sports endurance event as members of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, we will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. We're improving the quality of our lives by participating and with your support, we can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
