Hey Everyone!!!

I have few things that i am eager to tell you all about. the first thing is, Saturday morning practice was awesome. Before practice started we had a coach give us a class on proper technique. i really enjoyed all that he had to share with us and it was very helpful but what was even more awesome was the story he shared with us before he started the class. He shared that he was a two time cancer survivor and has died three different times ( his heart stopped for various different reasons, doctors had to use a dfibrillator to get his heart pumping again.) what he had to say about going through treatment in order to beat the cancer, was really intense. it takes a lot out of the patients to undergo radiation and chemotherapy. He also shared a few stories of others that he knew who were in the battle against cancer. the first story was about a woman who is undergoing treatment and still continuing to train for our race coming up!! This is amazing, although she is weak she is running along those of us who are privileged enough to be health and strong. She is raising money so that a cure will be found! The second story that the coach shared with us was about a beautiful redheaded little girl. Before telling us this story, I believe he said her name was Cassandra, he showed us a picture of her. He told us that this little girl was the bravest little girl he knew, she was only but four years old and was fighting a type of blood cancer. Although she is so young and a lot of the treatment that is used to stop cancer can be really dangerous for someone her age, she went through with the treatment because she had no other option. After receiving the treatment, Cassandra lost her eyesight. Hearing this story broke my heart! The coach had said this was why we are so admit about finding a cure to cancer. No one of that age should have to endure such oppostitio. This is why I need all of your hlep. I need all of you to participate in helping me reach my goal so that we can give adults and children who are victims of cancer, a chance at a life taht is like yours and mine. So come on and help me out! :)

Hey Everyone,

So today was the third week of training, second for me because I was a little sick last week and wasn't able to make it to practice but what an amazing practice day it was, today. We completed 4 miles!!! I've been practicing on my own during the week but today was the first day I have ever run 4 miles. Each time I meet with the group I fall more and more in love with the team. It truly is a great organization. still needing some help for fundrasing but I am thankful for my mentor who has been guiding me and giving me some great tips. hopefully next week I will be able to post some pictures for all of you to see what a day at practice is like. :) hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and didn't eat too much food!

Go Team, G0!

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
