Dear Friends and Family:

I may have lost my mind however, I am now training to walk my second 1/2 marathon this time with Team in Training. I will be doing the Disney's Tinker Bell 1/2 marathon.

I have decided that I want to do something meaningful that will help others. I will be completing the 13.1 mile race to raise funds and awareness research leading to a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and other blood related cancers. Over the next few months I will be pounding the pavement of the San Fernando Valley to get in shape for this event.

Leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma will cause the deaths of an estimated 53,010 people in the Unite States this year. Every four minutes one person is diagnosed with a blood cancer. The cause of leukemia remains unknow. However, the effectiveness of recently developed treatment methods and steady advances in research bring us closer every day to finding the cause and probable cure of leukemia and other blood cancers.

I will be walking in memory of my mother, a cancer victim and my friend Julie's mom who was a victim of leukemia. And in honor of all those who are survivors of the disease and those who are fighting against it.

My goal is to raise $2,200 however, I would like to raise much more. Please help me by donating whatever you able, so we can continue to fight this horrific disease. No amount is too small. I ask you to help me to improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
