Call me crazy but I can't stop running! Last summer I became involved with Team In Training (TNT) where I trained to complete my FIRST marathon, 26.2 miles (San Diego) and fundraised over $2,400 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was honestly one of the best feelings in my life and I never could have imagined how much of an impact this organization would have on my future, it truly changed my outlook on life. Initially I joined TNT to make friends after moving from New York to LA not knowing more than a few people. Now, I keep coming back to TNT because of all the amazing people and inspiring stories of survival I have yet to meet and hear. Being a part of the TNT family, I have learned so much about how cancer really affects the lives of patients and their families who are battling the disease or have BEAT cancer. I run in their honor and the memory of loved ones lost to raise awareness and funds so I never have to lose another to cancer.

Since June 1, I've completed my SECOND marathon (Phoenix � Jan 19) with TNT as a Mentor and will be participating as a Captain for summer season '09 to complete my THIRD marathon (Seattle � June 27). As a member of TNT I have made the commitment to raise $3,000 to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, many of which I have listened to tell their stories first hand and inspire all my runs.
