Sunday April 10th: Today our team ran 14 miles! Every week our team is hitting new distance goals and the support has been amazing. These are the weeks we are all testing out the nutritional methods that work best for us while running. I tried "gu" for the first time this week along with a shot of salt. My pace group 4 is full of some really amazing people and I feel lucky to be running with them. We are good at sticking together which is great for these longs runs when your legs feel those 14 miles. It has us really looking forward to that ice bath in the Pacific Ocean afterwards.

Sunday March 20th: This week our team ran 10 miles in Marina Del Ray. Ten miles was a record distance for quite a few members of our team (myself included) and it was awesome to share that with everyone. It was also raining pretty heavily all morning which was a bit of a challenge but there are always people that have it worse - the LA marathon was Sunday as well. Those poor runners were soaked by the end. I am thankful I was running with my amazing team otherwise I would have for sure chosen to sit on my couch comfortably out of the rain instead of running.

Sunday March 13th: Practice was in the Santa Monica Mountains this week. One of the coaches Javier shared the story of his mothers battle with cancer and it was hearbreaking reminder of why we are all doing this.

Sunday Feb 13th: Today was our first team training day. We ran 3 miles from Santa Monica to Venice. All the team members are amazing and hearing the stories of those who are cancer surviors and those that are currently battling are very inspiring. First week complete! Only 16 more to go! :)

For the last few years now a group of us have walked in memory of our friend Trevor. This year I decided to step it up and attempt my first marathon. With your help I am hopeing to raise even more money for the awareness and prevention of blood cancers.
