Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Rock 'n' Roll San Diego full marathon, June 5th 2011 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am competing in this event to honor the memory of my father, who suffered from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 8 long years and lost the battle August 1st, 2008. The world lost a jewel the day he left this earth and I lost my beloved, wonderful and ever so loving father. There is a part of me that is no longer on this earth but my dad will forever be a part of me as every beat of my heart has him in it. My dad was my hero, he fought a long and hard battle and lost. No child should have to suffer the pain of losing their dad so early in life. Please help me in the effort to keep that from happening to so many other daughters & sons out there. I need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
