All the money goes to the LLS towards cancer research and support programs for those currently battling cancer.
Thanks again!! And if you still want to donate, don't let the percentage intimidate you - we can go beyond 100%!!

A Note From Greg Makowski:
Thank you all for coming to Jennifer's TNT web page. Here is the link to my father's obituary from the Oakland Press.

Because my father had been treated repeatedly for Hairy Cell Leukemia (1996, 2000, 2005, 2008) and for Lymphoma (2010), I invite support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have run two marathons with TNT, fund raising for LLS in 2005 and 2006 - I can testify it is a very worthy cause and organization. Please support Jennifer, a close friend of my sister, Laura, and a friend of the family in general.
I have provided links to Jennifer's page from my LinkedIn and Facebook profiles. I invite you to help provide any such links where you are involved, online or offline.
Thanks - Greg Makowski

6 Weeks ago I began training for the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon in June to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Below, the entry from 3/7 will tell you more about why I began this journey.
Today, I'd like to honor John Makowski, the father of one of the most amazing people I know, one of my best friends Laura Mak. John, his beautiful sweet wife Linda and their incredible son Greg along with Laura have warmly welcomed me into their family at holidays and other family gatherings numerous times. As most of you know, my family lives in other parts of the country, so being an adopted member of the Makowski family has been a really amazing blessing on many occasions. John has a huge heart, gives great bear hugs, has a fantastic laugh and tells AMAZING stories!!! With his michevious sparkling eyes, warm energy and positive outlook on life you would never know upon meeting him that he was battling Lymphoma. And not for the first time. Lymphoma like all cancer is scary but John had beat cancer before and there was no doubt that he could beat it again! The beginning of 2010 was really rough. Rough on John, Linda, Greg and Laura. John spent some time in the hostpital and had some scary moments, but fortunately he improved and was released last week!! Laura and I were on the phone exchanging 'yay''s and 'woohooo's!! So it was an especially sad shock to hear that John passed away suddenly on Monday night. an obituary will be available soon.
Cancer just plain sucks. There is no nice way to say it. It affects not only the person who has it, but all of the people who love him! And then the people who love the people who love him!! John fought hard and long with the support of his family, and ultimately lost his battle against Lymphoma. But WE can continue to fight!
The Makowski family has asked that in lieu of sending flowers a donation be made to the Luekemia and Lymphoma society to support continued research funding to find a cure for cancer and continued support programs for those diagnosed and their loved ones. When you make your donation there is a space to write a message to the family if you wish. If you don't know the Makowski's ... I would guess that you've known someone else affected by cancer. Cancer so often makes us feel so helpless!! But there IS something we can do. We can continue to raise money and support organizations like the LLS. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Your donations really do make a difference.

Hello!!
I'm training to run 26.2 miles in the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
A number of my friends and family members have battled various forms of cancer. The "C" word seems to have touched the life of everyone I know in some way or another. My Aunt Sandy was diagnosed, battled and BEAT Lymphoma! But even the journey to survival is TOUGH and unfortunately ... not everyone is that lucky. Cancer does not discriminate between lifestyles, income brackets, color, race, religion, age, ... its not 'catchy' ... it can come on anyone at anytime. But I believe a CURE is POSSIBLE!! So I am running this race for those who can't and their families. Specifically those battleing blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Your donation is tax-deductible and any/every amount COUNTS!! Thanks in advance for your generoosity and your support!
Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your
support!
