Racing to Save Lives
Let me start by saying - I hate running long distances. I really, really hate it.
I got talked into going to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training recrutment meeting by a friend. I went to humor him.
As you may know, I'm a sucker for a good cause. Well, this is a really good cause. I signed up, and now I'm committed to doing my part to help out.
In order to train for this event, I'm running four times a week (did I mention I hate running?), as well as attending a Core workout class once a week. Beware of any "Core" workouts - they are designed to hurt you in areas you didn't know existed.

While I won't be giving refunds, you can feel free to track down people with blood cancer and try to get your money back directly from them.
Do you know anyone with leukemia?
Not personally, but I still want to do my part to help cure this disease. We're all connected.
Do you really hate running long distances?
I've hated it all my life. At least now I'm running on Venice Beach, instead of fighting the heat, humidity, and mosquitoes in Texas.
What's the deal with the nipple tape?
Don't ask.
When is the San Diego Marathon?
May 31st
Where does the LLS Team In Training money go?
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
