Racing to Save Lives
All,
Welcome to my team in training homepage. As you know, I'm training for the San Diego Marathon (May 31st). The training has thus far been intense, but rewarding as a hit a new mileage record every Sunday during my distance runs.
I'm running as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. LLS has done a lot of work to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Many of the people I run with on a weekly basis have had close relatives and friends affected.
I'm aiming to raise $3000 for LLS for all of those fighting blood cancers, and moreover all of those suffering from life-altering and life-threatening illnesses regardless of what they are.
When you donate, you earn the right to call me the morning of the race and harass me about how I'm doing and whether I am hallucinating yet.
Please help me fundraise for a great cause as I simultaneously push my body to its limits training for San Diego.
