Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
On December 26, 2008, my beautiful mom, Donna Lee Tashjian, passed away after suffering from gastric cancer for nearly a year. She has been an inspiration to me throughout life, an incredible role model as mother and friend, and taught me to seek courage in all my endeavors. I miss her so very much and decided to get involved with this cause, not only to show her my gratitude, but to hopefully help others who may be suffering. As well, I believe it will be a good experience to go through with my son, so he can see that one person can truly make a difference, and that kindness and dedication can generate amazing results.
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my mom, and all individuals who are battling cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and your support is needed to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I am reaching out to each of you to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. If a donation is possible, or just your moral support, I will be so grateful.
