Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page. To the right you have the adorable TYLER and our team mascot! Tyler has been battling Leukemia most of his life, but is currently in remission thanks to this great organization, his great doctors, friends and family! He is our honored teamate and one of many reasons why we are running to fundraise!

As many of you already know, on May 31st, 2009, I will be running a marathon in San Diego, California. A run to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Funds raised will help LLS in its efforts to find a cure for cancer and to improve the lives of patients and their families.

This is a great cause and one that hits home given that my grandfather, great-grandmother and aunt passed away after battling this terrible disease. At the White Memorial Hospital emergency room where I volunteered for two years, I became close to families whose lives have been ravaged by cancer. In addition I have met many families such as Tyler's that are currently undergoing this struggle and teach me a lesson of perserverance and hope for a final cure and continued treatment.

I need your generous assistance in helping me fundraise for Leukemia Lymphoma, kindly help me achieve my fund raising goal of $2,500 by May 13, 2009. I would appreciate any donation you can give.
