Dear Friends and Family,

I am contacting you to ask for your help in an event I am participating in supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. When LLS was founded in 1949, a diagnosis of these blood diseases was almost fatal. Almost every 5 minutes someone was diagnosed and every 10 minutes someone lost their battle. Today, thanks to research funded by LLS, survival rates for some blood cancers have doubled or even tripled. And, 88 percent of children with the most common form of leukemia will be cured.

Hearing about this amazing Team in Training program has challenged me to volunteer for a 13.1mile running marathon that will take place at the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon, May 31st 2009. My task is to fundraise $2,500 and train four days a week with my team for all the people suffering from blood cancers.

By becoming a participant in TNT I have agreed to raise the minimum of $2,500 by May 1st 2009. All of this money will be donated to the research and patient aid programs in accordance to the Society�'s core mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin�'s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and families.
