Another 10 miles after a long break!

Thank you God and Marvin for getting me to the finish line today! I can't believe I thought it was a good thing to take over 2 weeks off from running, just because I was sick and very busy!

I learned better.

I'm back on my feet running and from what I understand I'll be running 15 miles next Sunday!

Keep your fingers crossed! :)

I've got 10 miles under my belt and I feel special! Haven't had a sore muscle yet, not badly anyway! Can you believe that?

Mind over matter!

It's hard for a brain-iac like myself to believe that logic doesn't have that much to do with it (anything) if we put our minds to it!

Right now I'm fighting a stupid cold, but I'll be back and running this coming Sunday - 12 miles! Can anyone call 911 for me! :)

I did it! I ran 8 miles this Sunday!

Mind over matter! I'm starting to believe more and more!

Beka turned 25 on March 7th and there were a lot of awesome people celebrating her birthday yesterday at her parents house in the Santa Barbara area! Amazing party, beautiful people, love and celebration of life!

And thank you for all the donations! You are wonderful people with huge warm hearts!

5 miles - 21 more to go :)

February 22nd, it's Sunday morning and I'm exhausted already. And I have to run 5 miles? You're kidding me!

I was up until 2am, packing for the cruise I'm going on later today, right after the training.

My sister can't join me, so I'm alone. Or am I? I start talking to Rachel. We chat as we run and that's blowing my mind. I can easily chat and run? How is that possible?

I get to know another 3 teammates and the 5 miles go by faster and easier than the 4 miles I did last week.

Who would have thought that was the case? Not me!

And here I am believing! I just might be able to run 26.2 miles! All I need is running buddies and my ipod ... until I find new running buddies on the way! :)

Go team!

My sister and I ran 3 miles today!

Great? It's a small miracle!

Last time we trained for this Marathon for Leukemia (TNT - team in training), on our own, we were able to run for 3 blocks! 3 blocks! Today we ran for 3 miles! 3 miles!

I can't tell you how huge that is for me.

It wasn't the easiest thing to do, but it was far from the worst things I went through my young life... not even close!

Our inspiration is Beka, our dear friend, who was just diagnosed with leukemia. We spent the day with her yesterday and she's truly inspiring! She's a very strong young lady, smart, optimistic, full of life (despite all the chimo), smiling, making jokes and generous. She is giving away her precious wine collection, now that she can't drink anymore.

I won't tell you where she lives, because I want all that wine for me :) .... For when I'm done with the marathon, of course!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All

of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia,

lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am

completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling

blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we

need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
