The race for Life continues...

Yep, it's me again. I'm still running and still in the fight against that terrible 6 lettered word, CANCER. Since my journey with Team in Training began a year ago in May, I have ran 4 half marathons (Disney, LA Rock n' Roll, Surf City and San Diego Rock n' Roll) and 1 full marathon, the LA Marathon (which I, along with my fellow Teammates, endured and conquered all weather elements that day, minus snow). I have raised over $2700 towards blood cancer research, participated in countless fundraisers, and have spread the word that CANCER SUCKS and we NEED A CURE!!

Kick-Off 5/14- Incredibly inspired by great people. Cannot wait to meet my mentees and share a lot of fun memories with them!!!

5/28- Had an amazing morning run with my Team at Balboa this morning. I cannot believe how inspired, dedicated and driven everyone is. So happy to be part of this team for the 3rd season in a row! I can't wait to see what Nike has in store!!!

6/4- Wow! I had such an amazing morning running with my Team! We all worked very hard on our pace and learned new concepts to keep in mind while running safely. Can't wait to run the San Diego half marathon tomorrow!!

6/5-Today, I ran the San Diego Rock N' Roll half marathon and am in awe at the love and support both off and on the course. Since this was a National Team in Training event, it made this race more special because I got to see all the purple out there with me conquerining their half or full marathon and being united for one thing, a cure. Having the support on and off the course from fellow team coaches, staff and supporters from all across the U.S., helped me get to that finish line 13.1 miles away and also it really reaffirms my mission to stop cancer in its tracks. I loved the race and I love TNT!!! GO TEAM!!

6/7- Had a great cross training session at the park with our team for midweeks. Planks are such a great exercise and I will master them for sure!!! Stay tuned!

6/11- WHAT.IS.UP.ALL TEAM EVENT?! Today we had a very inspiring and amazing run through Griffith Park!! What better way to kick off a weekend that to be truly inspired by cancer survivors and supporters?? GO TEAM!

6/18,25,- Had great practices on each day. Summer is definitely here!

7/2,9- - Nutrition and walking clinics really go a long way. I brushed up on my walking skills and learned a bit more about calorie intake and running. Boy, was it a hot one!! 8 miles and I'm ready for more!!

7/16,23- Great runs with great people! LOVE MY TEAM!!! DISNEY AND NIKE HERE WE COME!!

7/31- July's last run-12 miles to end out the month of July and am so grateful to have such amazing people in my lives. Everyone on the team has inspired me in their own way and I am truly honored to be Mentoring for some amazing athletes.

8/6- 10 miles of awesomeness! Love my team

8/13- The hills are alive with the sound of tnt footsteps! Good ol' hill training today- everyone did such an amazing job! great 12 mile run!

8/20,27,9/3,10,17- more fun and important morning training runs with my fabulous team. Our event is right around the corner and am overwhelmed with all the support from everyone, You all are amazing.

9/24- Rocked 20 miles in Santa Monica today with my team and had such a rewarding run. Perfect weather, perfect ocean view and wonderful support from everyone on the team. San Francisco here we come!!!!
