Racing to Save Lives

Thank you for being a part of my Team In Training journey.

I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 17th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I am running in honor of some very special people. For Richard Gagnon, who died of leukemia at the age of 7, before so many of our present-day medical advances were available. For Peter Klaidman, Gusti continues to hold you near and dear to her heart. For Jessica Sanders, whose AML is currently in remission following a bone marrow transplant. For Joel Rogozenski, who continues to defy the odds. For all the other grandparents, parents, siblings, relatives and friends that need our help and support to get through another day.
