Racing to Save Lives
Hey everyone!
Don't laugh yet... its true, I'm running in a half-marathon. Those of you who know me well know that getting me to run requires some serious motivation, and I have truly found the best motivation by training to run the Nike Women's Half-Marathon in San Francisco October 18th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
My goal in joining the team is to raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Helping to raise money to join in the fight against cancer is the least I can do, so I am asking you to please help me in this fight. I have been an active volunteer for an organization for children with cancer over the last 6 years and have seen to many lives be impacted and too many die from these illnesses. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
