Welcome to my Team In Training home page.



I'm training to participate in the San Francisco Nike Women's Marathon (yes, men can run in this too) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.



I'm completing this event in honor of my parents, Mick and Gloria, both of whom have/had non-Hodgkin's lyphoma. Mom has, thankfully, managed to stay in remission for seven years! Dad, unfortunately, passed away on April 10th. He was in the midst of going through chemotherapy when he caught a very severe form of pneumonia which landed him in the hospital. He spent several months in the ICU fighting off a slew of infections and pneumonias. The steps I will take in my training and on race day will seem easy as I think about the difficulties that my dad went through.
