Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team in Training home page!!
Well, it’s 2008 and this is the year for setting goals and achieving them! I’m taking on my biggest challenge to date as I plan to run in the Nike Women’s Full Marathon in San Francisco this October!!
I’m not only taking on this feat as a personal test, but am more importantly doing it for a great cause. I’m raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team in Training program and I’m hoping to gain the support of those who know me and are also willing to support the cause.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
This is truly a charity worthy of your support.
No donation is too small!!! Keep that in mind. Even $5 means so much to so many people. Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. I am hoping that my participation in Team in Training will help bring them hope and support.
I will be running along side many people just like me, looking to give to something greater, as well as many people who are actually cancer survivors. Taking on this great feat actually pales in comparison to the feat many face daily that suffer with the disease. If they can get up each day and live with the battle, I can stinkin’ run 26.2 miles!
I look to do it with all the support I can get!
