I am training for the Malibu Sprint Triathlon on September 14th, 2008 (half-mile ocean swim, an 18 mile bike, and a 4-mile run).

I joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's ‘Team in Training’ program to help get ready for the triathlon.

Team members raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We train together with a volunteer staff of coaches, mentors, and honored teammates - our Westside LA team alone will raise a minimum of $200,000!

Every TNT member needs to meet some serious fundraising goals to train and complete with the team. These funds go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to fund their cancer research initiatives. I've set my bar a bit higher than the minimum and hope you are able to help me raise the $3,500 needed to meet that goal!

While I put on the miles, all you need to do is click over on the left hand side and support the cause with your 100% tax-deductible donation (no contribution is too big or small!) Also, if you want to make your donation in honor of a friend or family member, please include their name in the comments section.

I also feel incredibly fortunate for my own health and ability to train for this event- and excited by the chance to give just a little bit back through my efforts.
