Welcome to my Team In Training home page!

I am training to run a marathon on March, 18th 2012 in Los Angeles. I am sure you may be thinking, 'Yeah, so what. Your running a marathon, but crazy for running 26.2 miles! But I am on track, and confident that I will succeed. My last long run was the 18 mile Friendship Run at Hansen Dam Sunday, February 5th completed in 3:00:03 and still training! :o)

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

Like many of you already know my mom was diagnosed with Leukemia when I was only 5 years old. Today, I am very fortunate to have my mom in my life. Without her, I don't know who or where I would be. Luizalyn, a friend that is now recovering after being diagnosed with Lymphoma. There was the least unfortunate, Daisy who was like family. Lost her when she was 12 years old after fighting Leukemia for two years. These women are my inspiration to want to help and make a difference to those currently battling blood cancer.
