Welcome
to my Team In Training home page! Thank you for taking the time to visit and learn about my participation with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and their Team in Training program.
Alrght, I might be crazy but I am training to participate in a TRIATHLON(a physical challenge of swimming .95 miles, cycling 24.8 miles and then running 6.2 miles ) in honor of someone very special, a little boy named Tyler Cordova. Tyler is in the second grade here in Valencia, just one year ahead of my Jake. He and his family have been battling leukemia for several years now but he is such a BRAVE little trooper and he will WIN!. These people are
the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the
ultimate finish line - a cure!
My goal is to raise $6,000 to help save lives and find a cure. The event I am training for is the South Maui triathlon on June 13.
Just think - we ALL like to *do good things* - it makes us feel good - right? Well, in this case -
I will do all the training,
I will get up at the crack of dawn to swim, bike and run,
I will get the blisters! (and hopefully lose a few pounds along the way!)
YOU can have the satisfaction of helping simply by making a donation!! (although if you want to come join me in my training - you are MORE than WELCOME!)
Please join me in the race for a cure by making a donation! Additionally, if you have a friend or family member you would like me to run in honor of, or in memory of, please let me know and I will pin their name to my race-day jersey. I hope you will check back here frequently to see my progress!
