Tying a pink ribbon to my bike...
The morning of our 80+ mile ride to San Diego last weekend, one of my teammates shared with us the story of a friend with cancer. She told us how her friend (who is almost exactly my age) had been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, but had recently found out that it has spread- throughout her body. While fighting back tears, my teammate asked us all to ride that day with pink ribbons on our bikes in support of her friend- which of course we all were honored to do. That morning we were once again reminded of why we do this.
Regardless the type of cancer, we are training to raise money to fight these diseases. The money we raise goes to important research to develop treatments for Leukemia and Lymphoma, and that same research often yields new ideas for methods used in treating other forms of cancer as well.
Please join me in this fight. No matter how hard training for an Ironman triathlon is, fighting cancer is harder. We need your support to help find a cure.
The new IRONTEAM season is off to a great start! I am enjoying getting back in the habit of working out every day, and thinking up new ways to raise money and support LLS and their fight against blood cancers. I have a few weeks left to meet my FIRST goal for the season by raising $1000 by the first week in January! Will you help me meet my first goal and support this great cause?
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! You are helping fund important research to fight Leukemia nad Lymphoma, and keeping me out there swimming biking and running to try and find a cure!
I am so excited start a new season with Team in Training Los Angeles! This weekend we will be kicking off the new IRONTEAM season, and I have the wonderful opportunity this year to be a Mentor, and help guide my new teammates through their first ironman expreience!
I will be training for my second Ironman Triathlon this season with TNT Los Angeles, while raising fnds to support research and aid for patients and families battling blood cancers.
I woulve very much appreciate your support of my training and of this amazing cause. If you hate cancer, which I think we all do, please consider making a donation on this page and help me reach my goal of raising $4,650 this season!
Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
