Welcome Everyone!!!
First of all I'd like to explain the acronym that will define the duration of training:
Guidance: from a team of dedicated, selfless individuals
Perseverance: through a journey to support and commit to an incredible cause
Strength: to complete 26.2 miles and raise over $4400 in funds!!!
My Cause:
I joined Team in Training for a couple different reasons: some humanitarian and some personal. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training is a combined effort to raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of ALL individuals who have lost, won or are fighting the battle against blood cancers including my late granny, Gladys Arnold.
My Story:
I've been running since I can remember completing races from the Navy Seal Family Fun run at 1 yrs old to my last Half Marathon back in 2007. These races are great accomplishments for myself but this time I wanted to do something for someone else while achieving a fitness goal at the same time. So I've finally taken the first step: and bought some shoes! (j/k) and signed up for a personal journey fueled by the support of team, friends and family! For the next 4 months I will be training with a group of individuals for the Honolulu Marathon on December 14th, 2008.

- plane ticket: (American) check!
- friend: check!
- FUNDS: __almost there!______ this is where you come in!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. $4,400 is the minimum to go to Honolulu but I've set my personal goal at $6,000 to blow it out of the water! A contribution in any dollar amount will help!
