May 3,2010 marked the day my godson, Kyle, would turn from a happy, healthy 4yr old to a heroic cancer fighting boy wonder!

After being told it was the stomach flu not once, but twice Kyle's Mom knew something wasn't quite right. After almost being sent home from the emergency room Nicole (Kyle's Mommy) put her foot down and refused to leave without at least a blood test. Minutes later the blood test was followed by a CT scan and a long, scary ride to Children's Hospital where the horrible news was verified...Kyle has cancer. ALL Leukemia to be exact, the best type, if there is such a thing.

My immediate response was to help in any way shape or form. I knew running another race with LLS was inevitable, although I was hoping this time around it would not hit so close to home. Unfortunately, it is closer than ever making this fight all the more urgent.

Please help me complete this event and reach my fundraising goal in honor of Kyle and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
