J.J. Kercher :: Racing to Save Lives


"What?!" you say. "Another race? J.J. are you crazy?"


Yes, another year and another race...with one of the most impactful and amazing nonprofit organizations I have ever been fortunate enough to be a part of. Team in Training is the endurance event training program of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). We're racing to save lives - with the goal of stopping leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.


On September 5, I will be running the Disneyland 1/2 marathon in honor of all the men and women who are battling, have battled, have won, and have lost their battle with blood cancers. When I first joined Team in Training in 2007, I didn't realize just how many people in my life are affected by these diseases. Three years later my list is long, and it is the bravery, energy and will of everyone on that list that will fuel me to that finish line.


This is a special invitation for you to join me in this fight against blood cancers.


I have a goal of raising a minimum of $2000 to support the LLS mission, and I need your support! No amount is too small, and with your help I am confident I can exceed that goal.
