Hello Everyone!
Thank You so very much for checking out my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in a half- marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
At the first of the year my best friend Leah Brown became deathly ill. She talked to doctors almost daily for help and solice. Unfortunately the doctors continued to send her home without answers. On April 26th blood cancer was detected in just enough time to begin chemothearapy treatments. Leah is currently hospitialized fighting leukemia, she is just 38. And while this may be a personal quest, I urge everyone to take the time to think of others and remember a little really goes a long way.
Illness and hardships can fall upon us at any time in our lives. It certainly does not dicriminate based on age or any other factor. Although,if you are healthy it can be a reminder to savor each day with open eyes, understanding and joy. So for that reason I am running, training, sweating and toiling in someway eveyday . Helping to fight this fight of leukemia in honor of my dear friend Leah Brown. Please join the battle with me and others to finding a cure.
Any size donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission is Awesome!! And so very warmly appreciated. Plus 75% of all donations go directly to reseaching for a cure. And it is 100% tax deductible.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
Love and blessings,
Alyssa Ross
