Okay, so maybe I'm a LITTLE crazy. In typical Laura fashion, I took up biking this year, became obsessed and am now training to ride 100 miles in ONE DAY. Yes, it's a bit nuts (I mean, come on, I'm not exactly Ms Super Athlete Woman) but it's all for a great cause. As a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training I'm participating in raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line- a cure! A few stats: In America alone, there are over 100,000 new cases of these types of cancer each year, and 60,000 people die from them annually. But research is making a huge difference. Just 25 years ago, only 5% of children diagnosed with leukemia survived, but now 73% go on to live full healthy lives, thanks to the generous support of individuals like you.
