Saving Lives, one mile at a time!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Glad you made it!! Please take a moment to sponsor me! Every donation provides a mountain of hope to individuals battling Leukemia or Lymphoma, and moves us all closer and closer to a cure.
You may ask why I decided to do this...Simple enough to answer. I've wanted to do an endurance event for a long time. I've thought about marathons (at least one before I die), century bike rides (as many as I can fit in probably), but there's something about competing in an event that takes you from water, to wheels, to your own two feet that just thrills the heck out of me.
Since this is my first race of this kind, I wanted it to go beyond simply training and competing. By competing with Team in Training, I am using my training time to help raise money for Cancer research. I think about it like this...most of us can get out of bed everyday and swim, bike, run (I'm ignoring the laziness factor of some...you know who you are!!!) But there are hundreds of thousands of people, in this country alone, who cannot. They're fighting for their lives.
In this, my first triathlon, I'm racing for them.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Your donation goes to help fund research projects around the world, patient support, educational materials, family counseling, and so much more. LLS receives no government support at all, so the only money to fund these programs comes from people like you.
Dig Deep...I know you can! Together we can make a difference.
Send me your thoughts, and tell me the names of friends or loved ones affected by these diseases so that I may compete in their honor. daveari@mac.com.
Thanks Again,
Dave
I compete in the name of the following individuals...
Noemi
Max Fine
Erik Viker
Paul Mole
Michael Imperato
Roy Vandeberghe
and
Ryleigh Thomason (13 years old) fighting the strong fight!!!
