Racing to Save Lives

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

I am a strong believer that if I pay it forward in the end, it shall come back to me. In my heart, I believe that everyone of us are put on this earth for a precise purpose; without a doubt mine has been to help the innocent, give back, and contribute to society any which way I possibly can. When Caroline Reed, a colleague at work whom I admire for her recent successful TNT race, introduced me to Team in Training, instantaneously I felt compelled and registered. Those that know me personally know that I juggle work, school, wedding plans, and family obligations however, I also know this to be true that if there is a will there is a way. If I help others every chance I am presented, I'd eventually leave this earth knowing that I did my part to make it better than I found it; and that in my view is triumph.

I am completing this race in honor of my aunt Humaira Samadzai who lost her life to cancer two years ago. Her absence is not only evident to myself but our entire family miss her dearly. Myself and everyone in Team in Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I kindly ask for your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! I understand you may already have other donation commitments for which I commend you. However, if you would like to help me with this cause your generosity and support will be much appreciated.

Many thanks.
