After a 2-year hiatus, Shannon and I are back and we've decided to kick off our 2011 year by committing again to Team in Training. Since my diagnosis, you all have shown an incredible amount of love and support. I wouldn't be where I am today without you all.

As many of you know, this year came with GREAT news that I was matched with a 9 out of 10 donor. What this means is that there is only 1 mismatch in our cells and it is acceptable for transplantation.

Unfortunately, as I’ve learned more over the past month, there is still a huge concern when there is any kind of mismatch. Complications can arise more quickly and more seriously. With that said, I’m even more determined than ever to continue to spread the word for the need for donors and find my PERFECT match!!

Through Team in Training, funds are raised that can support new research and potentially new possibilities for treatment! Shannon and I decided that we would put our running shoes back on and this time, head to Anchorage, Alaska. We're running the Mayor's 1/2 Marathon in June with Team in Training.

Before we can get there, however, we need your help. Every cent of every donation made goes to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society make head way against this horrific disease. Your support, once again, would be so appreciated. Knowing you all are behind us will be the driving force pushing us across that finish line!
