Racing to Save Lives




Hi! Welcome to my Team In Training home page.




I'm training to participate in a 100-mile bike ride as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!




On June 6th, I'll be riding 100 miles in beautiful Lake Tahoe, in my friend Sharon Perkins' honor. She's currently staying strong and battling Leukemia. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers; any support would help greatly!!

    "Hi, Megan! This is Penny, Lisa Lechuga's good friend. My sister Kathy has Leukemia and I participated in a marathon in 2003 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raised over $13,000! There are so many people in Redlands with the big bucks, you should have no trouble reaching your goal. I sent out as bunch of letters with my story about my sister, and the money just kept coming, be it $10 or $100 and then sent a thank you note to each person. My marathon was running or walking 26.2 miles. Because I have artificial hips, I walked and finished 7 hrs. 20 mins. later!!! I wish you much luck with meeting your goal and completing the 100-mile bike ride. Penny"
