I finished the race and broke the 7-hour mark - woohoo! I completed the Vineman 70.3 race in 6:59:50 - close one :)


Thanks to all who supported me along this wonderful journey. I am truly blessed!

Race time!

I'm in the middle of packing and short on time, but I really wanted to post before I leave for my race.


I trained for 24 weeks and will race on Sunday in the Vineman 70.3 triathlon in honor of 3 people: my Auntie Ana (Ana Del Castillo) who is a survivor of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, my friend Audrey Duffy who currently undergoes treatment for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and my friend Joanne O'Brien who is in remission of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. All 3 women are strong, amazing and wonderous people whom I have the joy of knowing and having in my life! I do this for you 3 and everyone else who cannot fight the fight against blood cancer!

My goal for this race is just to finish, but if I can finish in about 7 hours I will be happier :) My wave start time is 7:54am. Remember, I am swimming 1.2 miles, cycling 56 miles and running 13.1 miles = Vineman 70.3!

We Did It!

Thank you to everyone that helped me reach my goal thus far!!! I made it and I knew I could with everyone's help! Even though my fundraising page says I haven't hit 100% of my fundraising yet, I did because I am waiting for a $480 matching donation to post. Now it's time to go above and beyond! Why stop now when cancer doesn't? YOU ALL ROCK!!!!

My Pamered Chef Fundraiser was a Blast!

Last Friday I hosted a Pampered Chef party at my house to help raise more money for LLS. It was a blast! If you couldn't make it to the Pampered Chef fundraiser, you can still shop online this week (last day is Sunday the 30th) and have your order count towards the fundraising! 15% goes to my fundraising and 15% goes to Meghan's fundraising. Here's what to do:


1) Just go to: www.PamperedChef.biz/MeghansCooking

2) Select "Shop Online"

3) Then select Option #1 (invited to a party) and type my name in as the host: "Heather"

4) Confirm the search result and then you can shop and be part of the fundraising for LLS!


Thank you so much for your support as I get closer and closer to my goal. There's only 3 weeks left until my race!
