Racing to Save Lives

I'm training to participate in the VINEMAN IRONMAN event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Since it's inception in 1988, Team in Training participants has raised more than $950 million to support blood cancer research and patient services. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer amongst children and young adults under the age of 20.

FOLKS! The time is now. LLS is trying to raise money to directly fund the research that will likely lead to a cure for Leukemia by 2015!!!

I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line -A CURE!

If you are unable to make a cash donation, but would like to help, I am organizing several fundraisers throughout the summer and manpower, goods and services donated for silent auctions/prizes, and moral support are always welcome.
