I am back helping others after Open Heart Surgery to replace my Aortic Valve March 5th 2012. When I was in the hospital, I met a few people who had leukemia and they were upbeat smiling and helping others. I figure if I can run again, it's time to help again.

You can help me help others, DONATE the price of a Coffee or the price of a sandwich. Every dollar helps and no amount too small, even "ONE" Dollar, 10 dimes.

I'm training to participate in the Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge in DISNEY WORLD on January 12,13 2013 an endurance event which is running 13.1 miles on Saturday and 26.2 miles on Sunday(39.3 miles total), as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training(TNT). This is my 5th event with TNT and so far I have raised more than $15,000 dollars. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Please help me reach my goal of $3,500 dollars in my quest to battle against blood cancers.

About the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Where Does Your Donation Go?

$25 could pay for the cost of a patient's chemotherapy drug prescription co-payment.

$50 could register one person to be a bone marrow donor.

$75 could provide HLA (bone marrow) typing for a family member of a patient with leukemia.

$150 provides 10 patients access to a web-conference to learn about their specific blood cancer.

$300 will train 25 peer volunteers who can provide emotional support to newly diagnosed patients.

$500 could provide patient aid to a person with Leukemia or a related cancer for a year.

Some Important Facts

*Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.

*This year in the United States alone about 106,000 people will be diagnosed with blood cancers and sadly, about 58,000 of those people will die.

*The relative five-year survival rate for people with leukemia has tripled in the past 40 years and Hodgkin lymphoma is now considered one of the most curable forms of cancer!

*Since 1988, TNT has trained over 440,000 participants and raised over $1 billion to fund research, education, patient services, and treatment advances for cancer patients around the world.
