I am no longer fundraising for Disney. I am fundraising with Team Deep Purple for the LI half and San Diego,
If you would like to donate please go to www.seelaurirun.info to do so! That is my new fundraising page.
See Lauri Run to Save Lives!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page. I'm taking on the biggest challenge of my life, to get out of the kitchen and run a half marathon. Wait!!! Make that a FULL MARATHON!
"Wouldn't you rather be baking cupcakes or making beer?"
Absolutely, but now I'm also training to run a marathon this January in Disney World to raise money for blood cancers! I'll be part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. Every member of my team is raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am running for everyone who is battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
"Wow! That's so cool! What can I do to help you?"
Why Thank you for asking! My fundraising goal is to raise $4000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is no small goal; I need your help in achieving this goal.
"That's a lot of loot to be raising!"
Yes it is. Anything amount you can donate will go a long way though! You can donate online through this site, securely with your credit card. All donations are tax deductable!
You get to feel good that you're helping find a cure for blood cancers.
"How much should I give?"
It's up to you of course. Here is a breakdown of what it will take me to reach my goal of $4,000 I would need all of these donations:
10 Donations of $100= $1000
20 Donations of $75= $1500
17 Donations of $50= $850
26 Donations of $25= $650
=$4000!
"Can I give you a check, gold dubloons or wampum?"
Checks of course! Please make your check out to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society then email me at Laurichick@gmail.com and I'll let you know where to send it.
Sorry no dubloons or wampum are accepted.
"What Do I get in return?"
-The satisfaction of knowing you're helping out and doing something awesome! Saving lives! You're a hero now-- let's get you a cape!
-My eternal gratefulness to you!
- Free entertainment of my adventures at my blog here: See Lauri Run!
"What else can I do to help?"
-Ask your friends, family and strangers to donate. Write them a nice email or letter telling them about how you know someone how is so cool they are fundraising and running 13.1 to help cure blood cancers!
-Have a party or BBQ at your house? Easily turn it into a fundraiser! Collect a $5-$10 or more per person at the door.
-Ask your co-workers to contribute. A few bucks here, a few bucks there, it really does add up! Suggest that everyone bring lunch for one day and donate what they would have spent on lunch out. Same goes for that mid-day latte fix. See if your company does donation matching, and that will make it even better!
-Have a garage sale. You get rid of some old stuff that was taking up space and you can donate the proceeds here. Double Win!
If you can do any of these extra fundraising helpers please let me know and I can help you out!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
Also please also forward my site to your friends and family on my behalf and ask them to help my fundraising efforts.
I hope you will visit my web site often and see how I'm doing in my training and fundraising goals. Thanks for your support!
Love,
Lauri
