It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to my fundraising page for TNT!

By participating as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) TNT, I am raising funds to help find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.  I have been a member of the TNT team since 2010 and have helped raise money for this cause since then.  However, this year I am very specific in my purpose.

I last did fundraising in 2015 when my Godfather, Ex-chief David King, of the Springs Volunteer Fire Department, was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).  It was going to be my last fundraising effort and my final Marathon.  However, though he made some improvements from time to time, he had to continue to fight this disease on a daily basis. 

In the beginning of 2017, he got sick again and I felt that if he had to keep up his battle, I should continue to run.  I decided to run Disney again soon after that, only to find out that he was not going to beat this disease.  He lost his battle in the middle of February this year.  It was at this time that I looked to do something bigger, and I created Team DMK for a Cure! in his memory.

I am proud to be the Captain of this team, but I am going to need the support of many, to make my dream a reality.  I, along with the rest of my team, am trying to raise at least $100,000 for LLS so that we can have a portfolio named in memory of my Uncle Dave.  This portfolio will be dedicated to research and developement of a cure for ALL specifically.

Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immnuotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to kill cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these.

Patients need these cures and they need your support.
