The 2nd Annual Leukemia & lymphoma Society AMF Bowling Event
May 14th at Sayville Lanes raised $1,699 for the Leukemnia & Lymphoma Society! Thank you to everyone who came down to support the cause! I will take all of you with me as I run 26.2 miles on June 6th to bring us all closer to a cure!
I run to help find a cure for cancer. I run to raise awareness of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society's mission. I run to give hope and honor for everyone suffering from all types of cancer because when we find a cure for blood cancer we will be closer to finding cures for other cancers. I run to remember all people who have died from this disease, as my wonderful loving grandmother Josephine did.
I run in memory of my mother, Suzanne, who passed away of cancer of the esophagus just one week before her new beautiful grandson Jack was born.
I run in memory of my dad, Ken and little brother Kevin who though they have passed on are still with me every step I take. The love and strength I gained from them is what carries me to the finish line in every race, whether its 5k or 26.2 miles.
I run because if I can give back even a fraction of all the hope and inspiration that I have received than I know that I am a part of something that makes the world a better place.
I run to say thank you, to my children Drew and Jack, all my friends and family for loving me, supporting me and enriching my beautiful life.

ok, sometimes I run for the bacon cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake...but only sometimes.
