Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page. I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
In June of 2006, I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and have been in remission for two and a half years after having undergone six months of intense chemotherapy.
I will be running in the Rock N' Roll Marathon in San Diego on May 31, 2009 in honor of Stacey Leondis. Stacey and I were great friends growing up. Not only was I classmates at Garden City with Stacey but teammates on the lacrosse field as well. Stacey and I graduated from Garden City High School in 2003. She went on to attend Yale University, as I went on to Boston College.
Stacey touched the lives of many individuals over the course of her life. In 2006, she was also diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. After undergoing intense chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, Stacey unfortunately passed away in July of 2008.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
We are asking for your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support our participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. I hope you will help me reach our goal of $4. 200. No amount is too little.
