Help me raise money to find a cure for blood cancers

My Bucket List

When I was 20 or so, I wrote a list of things to do before I die. On this list, were things as simple as watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean, all the way to things as adventurous as ride in a gondola in Venice, Italy. Most of these things I hope to accomplish, some things I'm pretty sure I won't ever accomplish....but nonetheless, it's good to have goals!!

I am beginning a journey to cross 3 items off my list....

1) Run a marathon (I really thought this was one I'd never accomplish...honestly, I can't believe I even put it on my list!!)

2) Cross the Golden Gate Bridge

3) Help raise money and awareness for a worthy cause

I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco, California on October 18, 2009 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I lost my mother on March 10, 2006 to Leukemia. She was an amazing person, and fought a really good fight, but ultimately, the cancer won the war. I am completing this event in memory of my mother, Mary Jane Potter, and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.

I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
