Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Well, the impossible is about to happen. I'm training to participate in a half-marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I will be running in the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco on October 18, 2009. That's right, I, little asthmatic, non-athletic Georgia will run 13.1 miles. But hey, I did also play the tuba! So nothing is impossible, including finding a cure for blood cancers. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. I need to raise $3,900.00 to participate in this event, and 75% of all funds raised will go directly to research to find a cure. I have already received a very generous pledge from an anonymous donor to match $/$ every $ donated until my $3,900.00 goal is met. So I'm already half-way there! Every dollar you donate works twice as hard! Keep in mind, there's no limmit to how much I can raise, so I'd like to raise and donate as much as possible above and beyond the $3,900.000 minimum.
