16.4 miles today!!! This has to be the best feeling ever! Except for the fact that the lower half of my body hurts worse now then after I gave birth to either of my children.

I am running in honor of my Uncle Gary and in memory of our Uncle Harry. Remember, if you would like for me to run in honor of someone else affected by cancer, just let me know and I will proudly wear their name on my jersey on race day. After the race, I will send you a picture along with their ribbon for your memories.

Last year I trained as a new runner for 6 months to run a 10K (6.2) miles. Today after training 3 weeks with TNT, I ran 6.5 miles. A new longest run for me!!! Many more to come hopefully.

I had my first official training with TNT over memorial day weekend. We met downtown Louisville and ran our 4 miles across the bridge into Indiana, over the Ohio River. It was awesome! So much better than running through my neighborhood. I am so excited. This week will be 5 miles, ugh.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
