This year as I turn 60 I have decided to "step-up" my efforts to find more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission I am participating in 4 endurance events in 3013. Each event has a separte "minimum" fundraising amount required by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I completed the HeroThon 1/2 Marathon on January 27th in 2 hrs and 14 min. Still to come is the Capital of Texas Triathlon in May, Viva Bike Vegas (122 miles on a bike) in September, and the Prairie Fire full marathon in October. My mission is to raise $10,000. Each event requires a minimum, but my total goal is $10,000. The amount you see on this page reflects the total raised since meeting the HeroThon goal of $1,650. So the actual amount raised to date is what you see on this page plus the $1650. I AM A LONG way from reaching my goal. I'm working very hard training for these events, but I need your HELP!

I am sad to report that our Winter Team Honor Patient Maya Flores lost her battle with Leukemia a couple of weeks ago. Maya was only 2 years old. PLEASE HELP find a treatment and cure for blood cancer by donating on this site.

I took 5 days off after the 1/2 marathon, and am now finishing the second of 16 weeks of triathlon training. It is extremely difficult to train for three sports at once. I train about 16 hours a week for 16 weeks for this part. I have done this 3 times in the past, and training becomes very demanding on time and body. I'm doning the work, but I still need your financial support. What else can I say, I'm trying to make a difference, but I can only do my part, I need your donations to be successful.
