Racing to Save Lives

4/11

Tomorrow is week 11 of training. Yesterday was my "long training day" and I did 10 miles and then turned around and did another 2 miles today. The training is getting longer and more frequent (another 4 miles on the schedule for tomorrow) which is great considering San Diego is only 8 weeks away. (Seeing the 26.2 mile day on my training schedule is both awesome and scary at the same time. I know I will be ready but it’s still a bit of a leap of faith at this point.)

I’ve been fortunate thus far – no training injuries! I’m stretching, hydrating and reading everything I can on what types of food or what different things I can do to improve my speed and distance.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to thank all of my friends and family who have donated so far; if you haven’t donated yet (maybe you weren’t sure if I was serious about this or not) NOW IS THE TIME - I’ve never been more serious about anything in my life! Together we can make a difference!

If this is the first time visiting my page, and if you'e not familiar with the Team in Training program, please watch this short, 4 minute informational video HERE.

I believe that after watching this video you will understand why I am ready to take on this challenge.... and super excited as well!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

All of us on Team in Training are raising funds to help stop Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin Lymphoma and Myeloma from taking more lives.

Please help me reach my goal and cross the finish line at the Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon June, 6, 2010 by making a donation to support my participation in Team in Training and help advance LLS's mission.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

A minimum of 75 cents of every dollar donated goes directly towards research and treatments, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.

I realize that there are so many causes that need our financial assistance and I only ask that you give what you can comfortably afford; NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL and EVERY dollar helps!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for taking the time to come visit my page and learn more about what I'm doing and why I'm doing it.....

Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
