I'm training to participate in the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, a 13.1 mile endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but specifically my good friends Andrea Miller & Carolyn Miller. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

"Renee, I am so excited that you are running a 1/2 marathon with Team In Training! I know you will do great! I have a feeling you will be the cheerleader of the Indy team cheering on your fellow teammates on those training runs. When you're feeling the pain near the end of a long run and you hear a fellow teammate yell "Go TEAM!" it definitely helps you to dig a little deeper and push yourself to finish strong. I'll be cheering for ya! Go Renee!!! "
