Riding a Bike to HELP so MANY!

Welcome EVERYONE to my Team In Training home page.

I'm so excited to share with all of you a few weeks ago a girlfriend of mine asked me to attend an info meeting about Team in Training events. During the meeting she asked if I wanted to sign up with her....I was so hoping she would pick a RUNNING event....but she does not enjoy running....she picked the 100 mile bike event. After hearing from a Mom of a little girl fighting leukemia I had to say YES, even if it was a bike event.

Let me just start off by saying i do NOT even own a bike. =) So this event will take me out of my comfort zone of running and hot yoga for sure. I'm very excited about training for 3 months for an event that will help SO MANY!

Before you donate I want you to know who several of us are riding for in September. Our TNT honored hero is Maddie. She is in the picture on my site. =) She attended our 1st meeting and shared her story. She is 19 years old attending Indiana University in Bloomington (a sign that I was doing the right thing with the bike event). She was diagnosed a few weeks before High School graduation. She is so positive and happy about life even with everything she went through and continues to go through. I feel honored to go out of my comfort zone for an amazing fighter as Mattie.
