Racing to Save Lives



Thanks for coming to my Team in Training homepage!







I am starting an amazing journey. I have committed to run my first full marathon (26.2 miles) in Chicago this October. To make this an easier experience for me and to help others, I am raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a participant in their Team In Training program, and I'm asking you to help by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.



Team In Training will support me as I train and even during the marathon with encouragement and people to literally run alongside me. In turn, I am helping them fight the battle against Leukemia and Lymphoma by raising money. Would you be willing to help me accomplish the huge goal of running a marathon along with fighting these awful diseases?



The inspiration for me to complete this program is Lauryn; a four year old girl who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in January. Lauryn loves playing with her big sister, Jordyn, traveling to Florida, reading, playing school, riding horses, painting fingernails and playing makeover on her mommy, Dea. She is an amazing little girl and is the honored hero who I am running for.

Update #1 I started Training and am doing very well so far......Today 6-4-2008 did not run yet...Don't do lighting! But will run tonight!



Update # 2....Training is going well...Have had some issues with muscles, but will get through it. Thanks for all of your help!
