Yo yo! Welcome to my Team In Training home page. Please donate today, I am almost at my goal and need your dollars to make it to the race.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. Our mission is to raise funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives while swimming 1 mile in Lake Michigan, biking 26 miles across Lake Shore Dr, and finishing with a 6 mile run through Chicago....

I have been training 6 days a week since the beginning of May, on my first day of swim training I ran into a client of mine who has hired my company for her wedding, and who is training along side of me for the tri. Her daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia on April 13, 2007. Since then has she has encountered many, and serious, illnesses as a result from the intense chemotherapy. This past spring when I met the family and the daughter was in great spirits and health, and was a vibrant girl telling me about her love for fashion. Recently her daughter became seriously ill and is currently receiving intense chemotherapy.

In the short time I have known the family I have been amazed at their strength and courage and am honored to be completing this event in honor of them. I will also be running, biking, and swimming in honor of her daughter's young friends who survived 6 long months of the disease.

These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
