Curing cancer seems impossible. So does running a half marathon (for me, at least)! I signed up to run the Chicago Half Marathon this year to do the impossible! I am not a runner and this will be a difficult journey for me. Each mile I run, I will be thinking of the patients and survivors I know. The spinal taps, chemo, radiation, transplants, isolation - all they have experienced on their journey fighting a blood cancer.

I have been touched by so many with blood cancers through my job at LLS. Micah's story always stays with me. Micah was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 9 months old. He passed away 9 months later at just 18 months old.

I run to continue Micah's fight and to fight with those who are still battling. Join me and make a donation today!

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
